Khunti, May 19 (Hindustan Reporter) While investigating the robbery incident that took place on May 17 near Bakaspur Railway Under Crossing of Jariagarh police station area, two criminals involved in the incident were arrested. Police said on Sunday that among the arrested criminals, Vinod Gop (28) and Vipin Singh (22), both residents of Jariagarh police station.
The police have recovered two mobile phones, Rs 30,000 of loot and a motorcycle from the criminals. It was told that on the evening of 17th May, both the criminals, Pradeep Kumar, father of Kapil Ganju, who was working on laying pipeline under tap water scheme in Buxpur Panchayat, resident of Chatra district, was carrying 40 thousand rupees to pay the contractor's wages. Two criminals Vinod Gop and Vipin Singh laid ambush near Bakaspur Railway Under Crossing and looted Rs 40,000 and two mobile phones from the contractor and his brother.
Contractor Pradeep Kumar had filed a case regarding this at Jariagarh police station on May 18. Taking serious note of the incident, a raid team was formed on the instructions of a senior police officer and both the criminals were arrested by the Jariagarh police station. On Sunday, both the accused were sent to jail in judicial custody.
