Khunti, May 19 (Hindustan Reporter) On the instructions of National Legal Services Authority New Delhi and Jhalsa Ranchi, a Jail Lok Adalat cum Legal Awareness Camp was organized on Sunday in Upkara Khunti under the guidance of District and Sessions Judge cum Dalsa President Rashikesh Kumar. Addressing the prisoners present in the jail court, Dalsa Secretary Rajshree Aparna Kujur said that all the prisoners have the right to know about their case going on in the court and it is our duty to give you free justice, provided you are ready to get your rights. All of you should awaken the talent buried within you and make good use of your time and develop the habit of reading and writing, which will help you move ahead in the future. Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate Vidyavati Kumari said that the trial of all the prisoners is going on very fast and the prisoners should get their cases settled as soon as possible through their advocate.
He made the prisoners present aware by giving information about compulsory bail, bail and non-bailable warrants and Probation of Offenders Act and also gave detailed information about free justice. LADC Deputy Chief Namrata Kumari, present in the program, gave detailed information to the prisoners about the rights they have through a qualified advocate.
