Plasma theft accused gets bail from court

Jaipur, 18 May (HS). The CMM Court of Metro-I granted bail to lab technician Kishan Sahay Kataria, accused of stealing plasma bags from JK Lone Hospital, on sureties of Rs 25,000 each. The court said that this case deserves to be tried by a magistrate and in such a situation it would be appropriate to grant bail to the accused without making any comment on the merits of the case.

The accused's advocate Vipul Sharma said that the FIR in the case was registered on May 6 and he was arrested on May 11. Police have completed investigation in the case and there is no recovery from it. He was a government employee in the hospital and had disagreements and ideological differences with his top officer Dr. Satyendra Singh. In such a situation, the officer himself, creating a fabricated story, had written a letter of departmental action against him and an FIR has been registered in the matter due to media pressure. Therefore he should be granted bail. The court agreed with his arguments and granted him bail.
