Stock market in flat mode in special trading session, second session will start shortly

Stock Market Special Trading Session: The Indian stock market remained flat in the special trading session today on Saturday. In the first trading session from 9.15 am to 10 am, Sensex closed with a slight gain of 42.6 points and Nifty closed at 15.80 points. Now another special trading session will start at 11.30 am. Which will continue till 12.30 noon.

The reason for conducting special live trading sessions is the process of switchover of the Equity and Equity Derivatives segment from the primary site to the disaster recovery site. That is, the stock market is closed on May 21 due to Lok Sabha election voting in Mumbai. Under this, a special trading session has been organized in the stock market today.

Market cap reached new record high today

Today, investors' capital increased by Rs 2 lakh crore amid universal correction in the stock market. The market cap of BSE has reached a record high of Rs 412.09 lakh crore. A total of 3296 shares were traded on BSE, out of which 2315 were up and 861 were down. 166 shares touched year's high and 266 shares touched the upper circuit.

Rise in stocks including metal, auto, capital goods, power

Among the major 13 sector indices, Metal, Auto, Capital Goods, Power indices reached record highs today. The stock market has improved due to positive quarterly results as well as positive factors globally. Yesterday, after about a month, foreign investors poured money into the Indian stock market. Registration worth Rs 1616.79 crore has been done. DII invested Rs 1556.25 crore yesterday.
