Forbes has released the list of top-50 highest-earning athletes in 2024 and there is no Indian and no cricketer in this list. Finally in 2020, Virat Kohli got 66th position in this list. In the current list, Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is at the top and his earning is 260 million dollars i.e. about Rs 2,167 crore. Ronaldo was on top last year also. Ronaldo earned Rs 1,133 crore last year. Five football players are among the top 10 highest paid athletes. The rest include three from basketball and one each from golf and rugby (American football).
Golfer John Ram is at second place with Rs 1,818 crore and Messi is at third place with Rs 1,126 crore. At fourth place is basketball player LeBron James who has earned Rs 1,069 crore. With earnings of Rs 917 crore, Giannis is at fifth place and France's Kylian Mbappe is at sixth place. Brazilian footballer Neymar (₹900 crore) is at seventh position, former French footballer Karim Benzema (₹883 crore) is at eighth position, basketball player Stephen Curry (₹850 crore) is at ninth position and American rugby player Lamar Jackson (₹838 crore) is at tenth position.
