Pain in the neck: Women have to face many physical problems during pregnancy. One such problem is neck pain. Neck pain occurs due to sitting or lying down for a long time. Pregnant women experience more pain due to hormonal changes in the body.
Gaining weight during pregnancy puts pressure on the spine and neck and can cause neck pain. Due to stress during pregnancy, muscle tension also increases and can cause neck pain. Wrong sleeping position can also cause neck pain.
In some cases, lack of exercise and any chronic problem related to the spine can also cause neck pain. To get relief from neck pain, you can take help of some easy home remedies. We will learn about these measures in detail.
1). apply eucalyptus oil
Eucalyptus oil has anti-inflammatory properties. If there is severe pain in the neck, then mix eucalyptus oil with coconut oil or almond oil and apply it on the skin and massage. Eucalyptus oil is also used in making pain-relieving balms or medicines. Just 3 to 4 drops of eucalyptus oil is enough. Excessive use may cause irritation.
2). apply turmeric paste
If you want to treat neck pain then make turmeric paste. Curcumin is found in turmeric. It has anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric helps reduce pain and swelling. Prepare a paste by mixing turmeric in warm water and apply it on the neck area. Then after 1 hour wash the neck with clean water. In this way you can get relief from pain.
3). drink chamomile tea
Chamomile tea also has anti-inflammatory properties. You can consume chamomile tea in limited quantities during pregnancy. Chamomile tea is considered beneficial for getting relief from arthritis or bone pain. You can drink 1 to 2 cups of chamomile tea throughout the day.
4). Use salt pack for neck pain,
To get relief, heat the salt and make a bundle with the help of a cloth. – Heat plain salt or rock salt in a pan. When the salt becomes hot, put it in a cotton cloth and tie it in a bundle. Place this bundle on the painful area and massage. However, do not make the mistake of placing a salt packet on the injured area.
5). use rosemary oil
Rosemary oil has anti-inflammatory properties. Rosemary oil helps in reducing muscle pain and swelling. Apply rosemary oil on the neck and then massage gently. Instead of applying rosemary oil directly on the skin, mix it with almond oil. If you want, you can also use peppermint oil, lavender oil or ginger oil.
