Material
Semolina – 1 cup, Oil – 2 tbsp, 1 finely chopped onion, 1 chopped tomato, 1 finely chopped capsicum, 1 finely chopped carrot, two to three beans, 1 tbsp chana dal, 1 tbsp mustard, 2 green Chilli, 4-5 curry leaves, salt as per taste, green coriander
How to make Rava Upma
- To make Upma, first turn on the gas and place a pan on it. – When the pan is hot, add 1 tablespoon oil. – Now add 1 cup semolina in oil and fry until it turns golden. When the rava is cooked, take it out and keep it in another plate.
- – Now add 2 tablespoons of oil in the same pan and add 1 tablespoon of chana dal and fry. When it turns light red, add curry leaves, green chillies and raisins to it. Then add 1 finely chopped onion and fry until it turns brown. When the onion turns golden brown, mix all the vegetables together. – Now cook the vegetables.
- – When the vegetables are cooked well, add tomatoes to it. – Now fry the vegetables once again. – After a few minutes, add salt as per taste and cover the vegetables and cook for a few minutes.
- – Now add roasted semolina to these vegetables and mix well. When the vegetables are mixed well, finally add hot water and let it cook. Your semolina recipe is ready. Now finally garnish it with finely chopped green coriander and serve.
