Ranchi, May 17 (HS). Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah conducted a road show on Friday in Chutiya, the land of Lord Birsa Munda and Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The road show started from Indira Gandhi Chowk and went till Shishu Mandir. The Home Minister was riding the chariot. Along with him, Ranchi Lok Sabha candidate Sanjay Seth, MLA CP Singh, Naveen Jaiswal, Samri Lal, former deputy mayor and coordinator Sanjeev Vijayvargiya, Ranchi Metropolitan District President Varun Sahu, program in-charge Varun Sahu, state vice president Aarti Kujur were also present.
500 women in traditional costumes were walking in front of the chariot to welcome Home Minister Amit Shah. 200 people were also present with musical instruments. Extensive arrangements for his security were made by the district administration. Apart from this, 200 party workers were engaged in his security from their level.
Crowds of people gathered on both sides of the road during the 1.3 kilometer road show. Everyone was desperate to get a glimpse of Home Minister Amit Shah. The enthusiasm of the people during the road show was palpable. People enthusiastically showered flowers on the Home Minister all the way. Welcomed him with open arms. Home Minister Amit Shah also greeted him with a wave of hands and flowers.
During the road show, people standing on both sides of the road were raising slogans like 'This time we will cross 400, once again Modi government'. People were also raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram and Bharat Mata ki Jai.
Barricading was done on both sides of Chutiya main road. A huge crowd of people had gathered to see him. Police officers and soldiers were deployed at every nook and corner. Amit Shah was appealing for support to Sanjay Seth. In front of the vehicle, folk artistes were also performing at various places.
Different stages were made to welcome Shah. Flowers were showered on him during the road show. People stood on rooftops to catch a glimpse of the Shah. A group of women had arrived with drums. There was a crowd on both sides of the road. Shah greeted the people by shaking hands. During the road show, the weather in Ranchi also became pleasant and there was light drizzle.
