Fatehabad, 17 May (Hindustan Reporter) While nabbing the smugglers of medical drugs, Fatehabad police on Friday arrested a youth from the city along with hundreds of intoxicating pills. The arrested youth has been identified as Jaspreet alias Jassi, resident of Jagjivanpura.
According to the information received, the team of Anti Narcotic Staff Fatehabad Police under the leadership of ASI Major Singh was going towards the old bus stand Fatehabad on Friday during patrolling to stop drug smuggling. As soon as the team reached near the old rest house, a young man was seen coming on foot with an envelope in his hand. The said youth got scared after seeing the police team and suddenly turned back and started trying to run away. Based on suspicion, police personnel chased him and caught him at a short distance. The youth caught during interrogation revealed his name as Jaspreet Singh alias Jassi, resident of Jagjivanpura Mohalla, Fatehabad. When the police searched him, 500 intoxicating pills were recovered from him. On this, the police arrested the youth and registered a case against him under NDPS Act in Fatehabad police station.
