Ranchi, May 17 (HS). A five-day voter awareness campaign was started from Friday with the aim of ensuring maximum participation of voters in the great festival of democracy. Under this, Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand K. Ravi Kumar flagged off the voter awareness vehicle.
On the occasion, Central Communication Bureau office head Shahid Rehman said that with the aim of increasing awareness among voters, Dhanbad and Dumka units are also organizing various programs to motivate voters to vote as much as possible. He said that awareness about voting will be increased among the people by roaming in different areas of Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency through awareness vehicle.
During the campaign, Santosh Kumar, a specially invited Guinness Book of World Record holder and teacher of St. Xavier's School, Doranda Ranchi, appealed to the youth and all the voters to celebrate this great festival of democracy like a festival.
It is noteworthy that voting will be held in Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency on May 25.
On this occasion, Deputy Director, Head of Office of Press Information Bureau Gaurav Kumar Pushkar, Deputy Election Officer Sanjay Kumar along with CBC and PIB personnel were present.
