A massive fire broke out in a scrap warehouse, many houses also got affected; Dozens of fire brigade vehicles brought the fire under control

Jalandhar: A terrible fire broke out in a plastic scrap warehouse located in Tilak Nagar, Jalandhar last night at around 2 o'clock. However, the cause of the fire is not known. The fire in the warehouse of a company named Sagar Enterprises took a terrible form and engulfed many nearby houses.

Firefighters are busy extinguishing the fire

Fire brigade and police teams reached the spot and evacuated the houses. A cylinder exploded in a house, creating an atmosphere of fear among the people. Due to the plastic scrap, the fire spread so much that the fire department teams were busy controlling the fire till 10 in the morning.

More than 100 water carts

To control the fire, dozens of vehicles from stations outside Jalandhar including Kapurthala, Kartarpur reached the spot. The fire department had deployed more than 100 water vehicles by 10 am.

Fire department teams used foam to extinguish the fire with water. The cause of the fire is not clearly known.
