In the Jharkhand High Court, a hearing was held on Thursday on the suo motu cognizance of the case of gang rape of a Spanish woman in Dumka and an attempt to take possession of the land of retired Supreme Court judge (late) MY Iqbal by breaking the boundary wall of the land in Ranchi.
The court has asked the state government in the case as to what action has been taken to cancel the bail of the accused who are continuously involved in land grabbing, crime against women and extortion cases in the state. The court has sought a reply from the government in this regard. The court has asked the government to prepare a chart, which will contain data related to the identity of the accused, so that even if they are caught committing crimes for the second time, they can be easily identified. Earlier, the court was told by the state government that the reason for the same data in the cases registered in Jharkhand for the last six months regarding land grab by land mafia, crime against women and extortion is because the same criminals are -Sometimes such incidents happen. Government's data is not wrong.
On behalf of the government, the crime data in the above three cases in Ranchi in the last six months was presented before the court. He told that the data of land grabbing by land mafias in other districts of the state, crimes against women and crime of demanding extortion has not been received yet, on which the court in the next hearing has asked about land grabbing by land mafias in the last six months in all the districts. Has sought information about the case registered regarding crimes against women and incidents of extortion.
