Voting for the Lok Sabha elections has been completed in 4 phases. The campaign has been intensified in the remaining 3 phases. From candidates to star campaigners, they are campaigning from door to door to seek votes. When voting is to be held in Himachal on June 1, there is a village where till date no leader has come to ask for votes.

Voting on June 1

The name of this village is Bada Bhangal village of Baijnath, Himachal. There are 159 voters here. But this village is situated at such a remote place that till date no leader has come here for election campaign. Because the path to reach this village is so difficult that it will take you 3 to 4 days to reach here on foot. Therefore, EVM machines will be sent by helicopter to the voters living here.

Leaders came for election campaign in 2011

For the first time in the year 2011, the then Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and the then Wool Federation President Trilok Kapoor reached Bada Bhangal Panchayat by helicopter and addressed the people. After this, in 2018, the then Baijnath MLA Mulkh Raj Premi visited Bada Bhangal by helicopter. However, till now no leader has come to campaign during the elections.

What is the arrangement regarding elections this time?

This time, the district administration has already sent a polling party to provide the facility of voting in the Lok Sabha elections to 159 voters living in Bada Bhangal, the most remote panchayat of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Voting is to be held here in the last phase i.e. on June 1 which includes Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur and Shimla seats.
