Indore, May 15 (HS). A major road accident took place in Betma near Indore on Wednesday night. Here, a speeding car collided with a truck on the Indore-Ahmedabad four lane. According to initial information, eight people have died in this accident. A woman is also included in the dead. The bodies have been brought to Betma hospital.
According to the information, the accident took place on the Ahmedabad Fourlane Highway near Chandan Nagar Bridge under Betma police station area at around 10.30 pm on Wednesday night. Here a speeding Bolero went out of control and collided with an unknown vehicle parked on the roadside. The collision was so severe that the car was completely damaged. After the accident, nearby people conducted a rescue operation. On receiving the information, police and administration teams and ambulance also reached the spot.
Indore ASP Rupesh Dwivedi said that eight people have died in the accident, while one person has been injured. All are residents of Guna. After the accident, the driver of the vehicle with which the car collided fled away from the spot. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to Betma Hospital, where the post-mortem will be conducted on Thursday morning.
