Mumbai Crime Branch has so far arrested 6 accused in this case. After Nagaur resident Rafiq, Mumbai Crime Branch on Tuesday arrested Harpal from Fatehabad, Haryana. Accused Harpal himself had asked Rafiq to make a racket in this case. Apart from Harpal, till now Anuj Thapan, Sonu Bishnoi, Sagar Pal, Mohammad Rafiq Chaudhary and Vicky Gupta have been arrested in this case. However, Anuj Thapan recently committed suicide in police custody. Harpal Singh is accused of having instructed Mohammad Chaudhary to do Reiki.

About 13 years ago he had entered the world of crime. There are more than 32 criminal cases registered against him across the country. Apart from the firing case at Salman Khan's house, Rohit Godara is also accused of murder of gangster Raju Thehat in Sikar. His name also came up in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. Initially he used to work for Goldie Brar Gang. But, now he works for gangster Lawrence Vishnoi. He fled from Delhi to Dubai on 13 June 2022 using a fake passport. After this he went to Canada and since then has been living abroad and carrying out criminal activities in India.
