Indian stock markets opened with gains on the third day of the week. The stock market has started with a slight rise today. The market is not looking strong but Sensex-Nifty have managed to open in the green. Bank stocks declined and failed to touch 48,000 level due to fall in HDFC Bank.
How was the beginning of the market?
BSE Sensex opened at 73,200, up 95.62 points or 0.13 per cent. Apart from this, NSE's Nifty opened at 22,254, up 37.75 points or 0.17 percent.
What is the status of shares?
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 are up and 10 are down. Among the top Sensex stocks, NTPC was up 1.66 percent and Tata Steel was up 1.18 percent. There is a rise in the shares of Bharti Airtel, Power Grid, ITC, SBI. JSW Steel is at the bottom among the stocks which have fallen the most in Sensex. Shares of Sun Pharma, HDFC Bank, UltraTech Cement, Maruti and Asian Paints are seen falling.
