Hearing was held in the Supreme Court in the case related to misleading advertisement of Patanjali. Yogguru Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna also appeared in today's court proceedings. Meanwhile, Patanjali's lawyer told the Supreme Court that they have stopped selling the products whose licenses have been cancelled.
On this, Justice Hima Kohli said that Patanjali will also have to give information about the stock of these products in the affidavit. Also, the Supreme Court has directed to file an affidavit on the advertisements given by Patanjali within three weeks.
A two-member bench of the court reserved its decision in a case of violation of court orders. The Supreme Court said that Ramdev has done a lot for yoga at the international level, but the matter is different. Because it is related to the consumers who buy the medicine. This cannot be negligence.”
While leaving the court, Ramdev saluted the judges. In response, Justice A Amanullah also saluted. Now Ramdev and Balakrishna will not have to appear in the Supreme Court. The bench has exempted him from further appearance.
In an earlier hearing, the court had banned the sale of Patanjali's products, whose license has now been suspended. The court also issued guidelines on a total of 6 points for people and organizations promoting Patanjali products.
The court also reprimanded the Uttarakhand government in this matter. The Supreme Court had clearly said that the state government did not take action against the Haridwar company. Ramdev had also publicly apologized to the Supreme Court and said that his intention was not to hurt the honor of the Supreme Court in any way.
