Shivnisangam village of Damehdi Gram Panchayat under Pushparajgarh District Panchayat of the district, where there is a huge years-old Kalpavriksha on the banks of Narmada, it is also mentioned in the Vedas and Puranas. Due to which environmentalists including local residents appealed several times for protection. After this, the district administration took cognizance and sanctioned about Rs 15 lakh from the fifteenth finance in the year 2015-16 to stop the soil erosion around the Kalpavriksha, in which concrete returning child platform construction and leveling work was to be done, but the construction agency In consultation with the then sub-engineer, quality-less work was done, and the returning shaft collapsed in the very first rain and ended up in the Narmada river. After this, Collector Ashish Vashishtha directed the officials for re-construction.
Collector took stock of construction works
