Hazaribagh, 13 May (HS). Former Hazaribagh MP cum senior CPI leader Bhuvneshwar Prasad Mehta said in the election public relations campaign that the Bharatiya Janata Party has cheated the tribals, Dalits and backward classes of the state. He said that after Jharkhand became a separate state, the first Chief Minister became Babulal Marandi of BJP. Babulal Marandi's government reduced the reservation for backward classes from 27 percent to 14 percent and the reservation for Dalits from 14 percent to 9 percent.

Bhuvneshwar Prasad Mehta did public relations in Pabra, Khairna, Katkamsandi and appealed to vote in favor of CPI candidate Anirudh Kumar. CPI candidate Anirudh Kumar conducted public relations in many villages including Keredari, Salga, Peto, Garrikala, Garrikhurd, Patra, Hehal, Hewai, Bilari, Kodve and Hupad, Mukundganj, Harhad, Bhelwara, Morangi in Sadar block.
