Training of election officers of Tohana, Ratia and Fatehabad assembly took place

Fatehabad, 13 May (HS). The intricacies of the election process were explained to the Presiding Officers and Alternate Presiding Officers and other teams appointed in Fatehabad, Ratia and Tohana assembly constituencies to conduct the voting process of Lok Sabha General Election-2024 in the rehearsal organized at DPRC Bhawan and MM College on Monday. .

During this, EVM Master Trainers gave detailed information to all the POs and APOs about their work and responsibilities. In the rehearsal, the operation of EVM and VVPAT machines was also explained to the POs and APOs through videos and they were also given hands-on training on the spot.

On this occasion, Tohana's ARO and SDM Prateek Hooda said that even a slight mistake by the PO and APO will be considered as failure of the entire system, hence all the officers should understand the seriousness of their responsibility. He said that all those instructions and rules are written in the PO handbook, which is necessary for the officer conducting the elections to know. He said that separate lines of men and women should be set up at the booths for voting and after one man, two women should be sent inside to cast their vote.

SDM Prateek Hooda said that his role will be most important in conducting fair and transparent elections. Therefore, they should understand the entire process related to voting thoroughly and get complete information about all the rules and laws. He said that voting for the Lok Sabha elections will be held on May 25 from 7 am to 6 pm. An hour before this, a mock poll will be conducted at 6 o'clock in the presence of polling agents. Fatehabad's ARO and SDM Rajesh Kumar said that there will be a total of 20 candidates including NOTA for Sirsa parliamentary seat.

On the day of election, all the candidates should be given a mock poll and after showing the results to the polling agents, all the slips of the mock poll should be kept sealed in an envelope. He instructed that after the completion of the mock poll process, do not forget to clear the EVM machine. Similarly, it is very important to close the machine after the voting is over. He said that if any problem arises then solve it at your own level, if the solution is not found then contact higher officials.
