Patna, May 13 (HS). In the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, 56.85 percent voting took place till 6 pm on five seats. According to Election Commission data, 56.63 percent voting took place till 6 pm in Darbhanga, 56.00 percent in Ujiarpur, 58.10 percent in Samastipur, 58.40 percent in Begusarai and 55.00 percent voting took place till 5 pm in Munger Lok Sabha seat. The average total voting took place till 6 pm on all five seats was 56.85 percent.
The fate of 55 candidates on five seats in Bihar is locked in EVMs. In this election, four women, 21 independents, 14 candidates from national and regional parties and 20 other candidates tried their luck. Long queues of voters were seen at the polling stations. All necessary arrangements were made by the Election Commission to ensure that the voters do not face any kind of trouble.
It is noteworthy that in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections, 25 candidates from Andhra Pradesh, five from Bihar, four from Jharkhand, eight from Madhya Pradesh, 11 from Maharashtra, four from Odisha, 17 from Telangana, 13 from Uttar Pradesh, eight from West Bengal and Jammu. -Election work for one seat in Kashmir has been completed.
