Ranchi, May 13 (HS). The engineers engaged in the construction and repair of the school building will have to complete the work by June 30 under all circumstances. While working, it is necessary to pay attention to the quality of work along with the quality of materials. A case will be registered against the engineers who are negligent in their work. Not only this, such engineers will be blacklisted.
State Education Project Director Aditya Ranjan gave this instruction on Monday in the review meeting of engineers related to school building construction. Aditya Ranjan was holding a review meeting with junior and assistant engineers from all the districts of the state at the State Education Project Headquarters.
Aditya Ranjan said that after the repair and construction of the school building, the remaining construction materials/debris should be immediately removed from the school premises. Make sure that there is no mistake anywhere in the construction of the building. He set a target to complete 99 percent of the works before monsoon. Aditya Ranjan said that work should be done under the supervision of the school principal, so that the needs can be assessed and the construction can be completed on time. He said that while repairing the doors and windows of the school, ensure that no sharp edge is left anywhere.
Aditya Ranjan said that wherever the work of CWSN toilet is left, the work of toilet construction should be shifted to the resource centre. Also, it is mandatory to construct platforms or ramps in schools where prayer meetings take place.
finish the work before monsoon
Aditya Ranjan said that at any cost the repair work of the school should be completed before the monsoon. Use water proofing plaster while molding the school. Complete the coating work of the building in time. Make an alternative route to reach the roof of the school, so that the roof can be cleaned from time to time. All matters related to drainage such as toilets, hand pumps, handwash units, MDM areas, etc. should be ensured with complete planning of drainage along with construction of soak pit as per the requirement of the school. He asked the engineers to make such arrangements for drainage from the roofs so that the problem of seepage does not arise in future.
Fix seepage/crack problem in a week
Engineers were instructed that if there is any problem of seepage or crack in all the rooms constructed and repaired in the school, then they should fix it within a week. Also, if any toilet or water supply work has been done in the school building, then if any pan unit, tap, urinal unit, wash basin is not functional then get it fixed within two days.
