Dhoni also did 'Lap of Honor' on the field

But after defeating Rajasthan, a different scene was seen. Dhoni and all the players and staff of the Chennai team did a 'lap of honour' i.e. went around the stadium. Along with this, Dhoni along with former player Suresh Raina thanked his fans for always supporting the team.

Meanwhile, Dhoni gave a yellow ball to the fans as a return gift. Before the felicitation ceremony, all the players including Dhoni were also awarded gold medals. All the players stood in a line and were presented with medals by Rupa Gurunath, daughter of team owner N Srinivasan.
