Clash in Manipur, four policemen kidnapped in Kangpokpi, two accused arrested |Live Updates,Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Manipur violence: Manipur Police on Sunday arrested two men belonging to Maitai outfit Arambai Tenggol for kidnapping and attacking four policemen posted at Kangpokpi police station.

Police said four policemen were abducted from National Highway-2 in Imphal East district on Saturday night when they were going from Imphal to Kangpokpi.

The kidnapped policemen have been identified as Ram Bahadur Karki, Ramesh Budhathoki, Manoj Khatiwoda and Mohammed Taj Khan.

Search operation continues to rescue kidnapped policemen – The accused, Taibanganba Sanojam and Moirangthem Bobo, were arrested on Sunday, a police officer said.

A search operation is being conducted to free the kidnapped policemen and arrest other accused involved in the incident.

24-hour bandh in Kangpokpi district – The Tribal Organization Committee observed a 24-hour bandh in Kangpokpi district on Sunday in protest against the kidnapping of four policemen.
