Ranchi, May 12 (HS). Polling parties were dispatched to Tamar and Mandar assembly constituencies under Ranchi district on Sunday for voting in Khunti and Lohardaga Lok Sabha constituencies. Polling parties were dispatched from the dispatch center located at Morabadi Football Stadium under the supervision of Returning Officer, Ranchi Parliamentary Constituency Rahul Kumar Sinha. During this time many voters were absent, action will be taken against them.
Polling parties were sent to 303 polling stations of Tamar assembly constituency and 430 polling stations of Mandar assembly constituency. Of these, 36 polling personnel were absent, against whom the returning officer has ordered action. An order has been issued to submit reason inquiries to the absent polling personnel. In case acceptable explanations are not received, action will be taken under relevant sections of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
The Returning Officer has directed all the polling personnel to reach the dispatch center between 06:30-7:00 pm for the dispatch of voting in Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency, so that the polling parties can reach their designated polling centers on time.
