Chhatarpur, 11 May (HS). A well-known criminal of the district had constructed Eshgah for himself by illegally occupying the land of two people for the last 8 years. The said criminal was also running his black business from this place. On Saturday, a joint team of Chhatarpur police, administration and municipality took action to remove the illegal encroachment by demolishing the den of the miscreant.
Chhatarpur SDM Akhil Rathore said that Chhatarpur resident vicious criminal Zakir alias Jaffu Khan had illegally occupied the plot of Ishwari Prasad Chaurasia and Yusuf Khan located near the Hanuman temple of Kot in Nazarbagh since 2016. Taking cognizance of the complaint of complainant Ishwari Prasad Chaurasia and Yusuf Khan, Collector Sandeep ji and Superintendent of Police Agam Jain had given instructions to remove encroachment from the said land and free it from encroachment, following which a joint operation of police, administration and municipality was conducted on Saturday. The team reached the spot and demolished the building constructed by Zakir Khan.
It is noteworthy that dozens of serious crimes are registered against criminal Zakir Khan in various police stations of the district and a reward of Rs 20,000 has been declared on his arrest. Zakir alias Jaffu was running his black business from this place. The local people were extremely troubled due to the movement of criminal elements day and night, who heaved a sigh of relief after the above action. All the police station in-charges, heavy police force and administrative staff of the city were present during the proceedings.

After the proceedings, complainant Ishwari Prasad Chaurasia praised the action of Chhatarpur police and administration and expressed his gratitude to the team. Chaurasia told that his 1200 square feet plot located near Hanuman temple of Kot in Nazarbagh was captured by criminal Zakir and his brother Javed. Since then he has been continuously complaining to the police and administration. His application was also given in SDM court and public hearing, taking cognizance of which his plot has been freed from encroachment today.
