The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on Monday said that notifications are issued from time to time to Aadhaar number holders to keep the Aadhaar database updated, but no number has been cancelled.
Aadhaar is the most commonly used digital identity to avail many subsidies, benefits and services.
UIDAI said on its website that the authority has initiated an exercise for document and Aadhaar information updates to maintain the accuracy of the Aadhaar database.
UIDAI said, “In the course of activities to keep the Aadhaar database updated, information is issued to Aadhaar number holders from time to time. In this regard, it is clarified that no Aadhaar number has been cancelled.
If any Aadhaar number holders have any complaint then they can give their feedback to UIDAI. The complaint will be resolved appropriately.
