Kareena Kapoor Khan: Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued notice to Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor. The matter is related to the book written on her pregnancy. A person has filed a case against him for using the word Bible in the title of the book. Therefore this concerned person has approached the High Court. Earlier, an application in this matter was filed in the Additional Sessions Court. After which Advocate Christopher Anthony has challenged the order in the High Court.
The High Court has issued a notice to Kareena Kapoor and asked her to reply within 7 days. The petitioners had accused him of hurting the sentiments of the Christian community. The petitioners have said that an FIR should be registered against Kareena Kapoor for hurting the sentiments of the Christian community by using the word 'Bible' in her book 'Kareena Kapoor Khan's Pregnancy Bible'.
Apart from Kareena Kapoor Khan, the other respondents in the petition are Amazon Online Shopping, Juggernaut Books and the co-author of the book. First, Anthony filed a complaint at a local police station in Jabalpur alleging that Kareena has hurt the sentiments of the Christian community as the 'holy book Bible' cannot be compared with the actress' pregnancy.
When the police refused to register the case, the lawyer approached the magistrate's court and filed a private complaint seeking the same. However, the Magistrate Court also dismissed the petition on the grounds that the complainant failed to prove how the use of the word Bible had hurt the sentiments of the Christian community. After this he approached the Additional Sessions Court which also refused to give any relief. Meanwhile, the petitioners have now taken refuge in the High Court.
