Giridih, 11 May (H.S.). A four-year-old child died on Saturday after a dilapidated 440 volt wire broke and fell in Birne village of Gavan police station area of the district.
After the death of the child, the family members kept the body on the road in front of the electricity office and blocked Gaon Teesri main road for hours. However, after much persuasion by the village police, people removed the jam. Regarding the incident, it has been told that Prince Kumar, four year old son of Sudhir Yadav, resident of Birne village of Gavan police station area, was playing in the field behind his house.
Meanwhile, a dilapidated 440 volt electric wire suddenly broke and fell on him. Seeing the child getting electrocuted, the nearby villagers somehow rescued him from there and took him to the village community health center for treatment, where the doctor declared him dead after examination.
