Ahmedabad, May 10 (HS). The tire of a flight coming from Bengaluru burst while landing at Ahmedabad's Sardar Patel International Airport on Friday evening. There were 150 passengers on board the plane. Due to runway and tire burst, he became stationary on the runway itself. As soon as the pilot became aware of the incident, he informed Air Traffic Control (ATC). Ahmedabad Airport also declared an emergency call and immediately made all necessary emergency arrangements and evacuated the passengers safely.
The Indigo flight coming from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad was landing at Ahmedabad airport at 4 pm on Friday evening. As soon as the flight landed, it became stable on the runway. Due to the tire burst completely, the passengers sitting inside also feared some untoward incident. However, the pilot immediately sent information to ATC due to which an emergency call was declared by the airport. Due to this, the process of changing tires was started where the flight had stopped. During this time, due to the takeoff and landing time of another flight, the flight coming from Bengaluru was diverted towards the taxi way for a short time. The team of experts also reached the spot immediately. The process of taking out the passengers from the flight and changing the tires was started.
