Ranchi, May 10 (Hindus). Thousands of mothers, sisters and Shiva devotees participated in the Kalash Yatra organized on the occasion of the annual festival organized on Friday on the second foundation day of Sureshwar Mahadev Temple located at Swarn Rekha Ghat in Chutiya. On this occasion the entire area of Chutiya became Shiva-may. During the Kalash Yatra, the entire Chutiya kept resonating with the slogans of Om Namah Shivay and Har Har Mahadev amid drums, drums, trumpets and trumpets. To welcome the Shiva devotees participating in the Kalash Yatra, other devotees were standing on both sides of the route to welcome them.
Flowers were showered at many places on the Shiva devotees participating in the yatra. As the host in the Kalash Yatra, the founder president of the temple Suresh Sahu with his wife Renu, Alok Kumar with his wife Sarita Kumar, Ramsharan Tirkey with his wife Dr. Chintamani Sanga and Rupesh Kesari with his wife Shashi Kesari were walking at the forefront carrying the Kalash. The women returned to the temple premises after taking water from Banas pond of Chutiya. Local MLA CP Singh was also present near Banas Talab to welcome the Shiva devotees participating in the Kalash Yatra. Before filling the water in the Kalash, Priest Gopal, Priest Murari, Priest Shanteshwar, Priest Arvind Pandey, Priest Shashikant Pandey and Priest Sachchidanand Baba performed the ritual of filling water with chanting of mantras. After filling the Kalash with water, the Kalash Yatra reached back to the temple premises, where all the priests performed the puja with full rituals.
After the puja, Mahabhandara was organised, in which thousands of Shiva devotees took Prasad. Temple Committee General Secretary Santosh Kumar, Youth President Vikram Sahu, Media Incharge Ratan Lal, Krishna Sahu, Bablu Sahu and others played an important role in organizing the program. It is noteworthy that the height of the Shivalinga of this temple is 108 feet.
