Allu made his debut in 2003 with the film 'Gangotri'. After this, he got his first success from director Sukumar's romantic drama film 'Arya'. Recently, a program was organized in Hyderabad on the completion of 20 years of this film. Allu also attended the program and told about his film journey, 'My first film 'Gangotri' had earned well but my inability as an artist was that I could not create my own identity. I was nothing. But everything changed after attending the screening of actor Nithin's film 'Dil'. Sukumar approached me for the film 'Arya'.

At the event, Sukumar said that Prabhas and Ravi Teja were the first to approach for the story of 'Arya' but later both of them refused and Arjun was signed.
