Fall in Indian stock markets, Sensex falls by more than 250 points

Today i.e. on 8th May, the stock market is witnessing a decline for the second consecutive day. Sensex is trading at 73,200 with a fall of more than 250 points. At the same time, Nifty is also trading at the level of 22,200 after falling more than 50 points.

During early trading, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 22 declined and 8 gained. Today further decline is being seen in banking, pharma and IT stocks.

2 IPOs will open from today

2 Initial Public Offerings i.e. IPOs of TBO Tech Limited and Aadhaar Housing Finance are opening from today. There is an opportunity to invest in this till May 10. Today is the last day of Indengine Limited's IPO.

A decline was seen in the stock market yesterday

Earlier yesterday i.e. on 7th May, a decline was seen in the stock market. Sensex closed 383 points down at 73,511. At the same time, Nifty also fell by 140 points and closed at 22,302.

The market will continue on Saturday also

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) announced on May 7 (Tuesday) that the market will remain open even on May 18, 2024, i.e. a Saturday holiday. There will be two special live trading sessions during this period. This is being done to test the disaster recovery site.

The stock exchange said the special live trading session will be conducted in the equity and equity derivatives segments with intra-day switch from the primary site to the disaster recovery site.
