The nomination papers of all the 33 candidates were scrutinized one by one by the Returning Officer of Ranchi Parliamentary Constituency, Rahul Kumar Sinha, in the presence of the candidates and their proposers in Room No. 207, Collectorate Block-A. In scrutiny, nominations of 27 candidates were found correct while nominations of six candidates were rejected.

Nominations of six candidates rejected

During scrutiny, errors were found in the nominations of six candidates, after which their nominations were rejected. These include Independent Sandeep Oraon, Independent Sanjay Kumar Mahato, Amarendra Kumar from Jharkhand Jankranti Morcha, Independent Premnath Badaik, Independent Manju Devi, Sushil Kumar from Swaraj Ekta Party. Candidates whose nominations have been accepted after scrutiny can withdraw their names till 3 pm on May 9. Election symbols will be allotted to the candidates from 4 pm on the same day.

During this, Deputy Returning Officer Vivek Kumar Suman, Assistant Returning Officer 64-Hatia Assembly Constituency Rajeshwarnath Alok, Assistant Returning Officer 63-Ranchi Assembly Constituency Utkarsh Kumar and other concerned officials were present.
