Ranchi, 07 May (Hindustan Reporter) Nine accused, including suspended IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan, involved in illegal buying and selling of army-occupied land in Bariatu, appeared in the ED court through video conferencing from jail. The court of ED Special Judge Rajeev Ranjan on Tuesday extended the judicial custody period of all the accused. The court has fixed May 21 as the date of next appearance.
Along with Chhavi Ranjan, suspended revenue sub-inspector of Badgai zone Bhanu Pratap Prasad, Pradeep Bagchi, broker RIMS officer Afsar Ali, Imtiaz Ahmed, Saddam Hussain, Talha Khan, Faiyaz Ahmed and Amit Aggarwal are accused in the case. Chhavi Ranjan is in jail since May 4, 2023.
