Alert: Government bank issued alert for customers, such account will be closed in 1 month


PNB Alert: If your account is in public sector Punjab National Bank (PNB) then this news is for you. The bank has alerted the customers that there has been no transaction of any kind from their account for the last three years. Also, if there is no balance in the account then such account will be closed within a month. According to the bank, this step will be taken to prevent misuse of such accounts. To avoid any kind of risk, the bank has decided to close such accounts. It has been told by the bank that three years will be counted from April 30.

Accounts linked to demat accounts
, Standing Instructions with Active Locker, accounts opened for customers below 25 years of age, minor accounts, Sukanya Samriddhi, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), PMSBY, APY, DBT lost accounts will not be closed. Apart from this, accounts frozen on the orders of the court, Income Tax Department or any other statutory authority will also not be closed under this.

Increase in the convenience of making daily payments
On the other hand, private sector ICICI Bank NRI customers are being given the facility to use international numbers to make UPI payments in India. Bank customers can make UPI payments by scanning any QR code, UPI ID or any mobile number and sending money to an Indian mobile number or Indian bank account. The bank said that this has greatly increased the convenience of making their daily payments.

Before this facility
With this facility, many NRI customers of the Bank can pay their bills, business and e-commerce transactions with ICIC I Bank in the country with the mobile number registered in their NRI/NRO bank account. The bank has provided this service through its mobile banking app i Mobile Pay. First of all, a traveler needs to register an Indian number with their banks to make UPI payments.
