Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor recommends NIA probe against Kejriwal

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena has demanded an NIA probe against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly receiving political funds from a banned terror organisation. NIA has sought investigation into the Lieutenant Governor taking political donations from Sikhs for Justice.

Lieutenant Governor Saxena received a complaint that Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party had received $1.6 million from a Khalistani organization to help secure the release of Devendra Pal Bhullar and promote pro-Khalistan sentiments. The LGA's letter to the Home Ministry also mentions a secret meeting between Kejriwal and the Sikhs of Khalistan in 2014. It is reported that this meeting took place at Gurudwara Richmond Hills in New York. The complainant has alleged that Kejriwal had promised the release of Devendrapal Singh Bhullar in return for political donations received by the party.

Need for forensic investigation of electronic evidence: Lieutenant Governor

Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has said in a letter to the Union Home Ministry that this complaint has been made against a Chief Minister. A complaint has been made about taking political donations worth lakhs of rupees from a banned terrorist organization. This requires forensic examination of the electronic evidence provided by the complainant. The complainant is Ashu Mongia, national general secretary of Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh. In the video, Khalistani Gurupatwant Singh Pannu is saying that the Aam Aadmi Party under the leadership of Kejriwal has received funds of 1.6 million dollars from Khalistani groups from 2014 to 2022.
