Madhya Pradesh: Heat showed severe intensity, for the first time the temperature crossed 43 degrees in five cities

Bhopal, 6 May (HS). The heat has started becoming intense in Madhya Pradesh since last few days. On Monday, there was severe heat in most of the cities of the state including the capital Bhopal. For the first time this season, the mercury crossed 43 degrees in five cities of the state, Damoh, Tikamgarh, Khajuraho, Satna and Naugaon. Nagaon was the hottest. The maximum temperature recorded here was 43.7 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the mercury was recorded at 43 degrees in Damoh, Tikamgarh-Khajuraho and 43.2 degrees in Satna. Due to this, hot winds also blew here. However, there was drizzle in Chhindwara on Monday.

Overall, different colors of weather are being seen in the state. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature is continuously increasing in the northern parts including the districts of Gwalior and Chambal divisions, while in the eastern parts, clouds have started appearing in the surrounding areas including Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat. There may be drizzle and thundershowers at many places in these areas on Tuesday. With strong winds, hail may also fall at some places.

Senior meteorologist of the Meteorological Department, Pramendra Singh said that the temperature is continuing to rise in the northern parts of Chambal and Gwalior divisions. Here the temperature will increase further on Tuesday and heat wave-like conditions will be created at many places, while on Wednesday, May 8, a heat wave warning has been issued from Gwalior, Shivpuri, Datia, Guna Ashoknagar including Khandwa, Khargone. The maximum temperature in the capital Bhopal will be around 40 to 42 degrees Celsius.

He said that there may be drizzle with thunder at some places in Chhindwara, Balaghat, Pandhuna, Seoni and Anuppur. Meanwhile, the wind speed will be 40 to 50 km per hour. Change in weather will start visible in Anuppur, Shahdol from Monday night.

A new western disturbance will arrive on May 9

According to the Meteorological Center of Bhopal, at present a new western disturbance is forming as a trough over Iran. The second western disturbance is also active over Pakistan in the form of Dronika. Cyclones are present in the upper part of the air over Rajasthan and Marathwada. Also, a trough is forming from Marathwada to Meghalaya via Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh. Due to its effect, the eastern parts are cloudy. Here, a new western disturbance is expected to arrive on May 9, due to which the weather will change once again.
