According to the Meteorological Department, there is going to be heavy to very heavy rain in North-East India on 5th and 6th May. Apart from this, warning of rain and storm has also been issued in the states of South India between May 5 and 9.
Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, there was heat wave in the states like Gangetic West Bengal, Rayalaseema, West Bengal, Odisha, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu etc. The maximum temperature was 46.3 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, it is going to rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura for the next five days. Apart from this, storm and lightning activities can also be seen. Talking about North-West India, there will be light to moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh on 4th and 5th May. A storm will also come. Apart from this, rain alert has also been issued in Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab on May 4. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be rain in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh between May 6.
