Kharge replied to PM Modi: After Wayanad, Prime Minister Modi took a dig at Rahul Gandhi contesting from his traditional seat Rae Bareli. He said, fear the vote, divide the vote. Due to fear of defeat in Wayanad, Shahzad (Rahul Gandhi) was looking for a safe seat. Now Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has hit back at Prime Minister Modi. He said that BJP icon Lal Krishna Advani and former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee had also contested elections on two seats.
Narendra Modi also contested elections on two seats
Rahul Gandhi has filed his nomination from Rae Bareli seat on Friday. Apart from this, he is also a candidate from his Lok Sabha seat Wayanad, where voting has already been completed. Mallikarjun Kharge said that in 2014, Narendra Modi had also contested elections on two seats. He contested elections from Varanasi as well as Vadodara seat and later vacated the Vadodara seat. Kharge said that PM Modi does not talk after understanding. The Prime Minister is scared.
Prime Minister doesn't talk with understanding
Kharge further said that the Prime Minister does not take care of his dignity and does not speak with understanding. There is no point in answering them. He asked whether Lal Krishna Advani had not filed his candidature from two seats? Didn't Atal Bihari Vajpayee contest elections from two seats? The Congress leader said that he himself will run away from Varanasi. Addressing a rally in West Bengal on Friday, PM Modi said that Rahul Gandhi has come to know about the defeat in Wayanad, hence he is looking for a safe seat for himself.
Rahul Gandhi is looking for a safe seat
PM Modi said, fear the vote, divide the vote. I have already said that Rahul Gandhi is looking for a safe seat. He was afraid of defeat in Amethi. Now they have reached Rae Bareli. These are the people who keep saying, don't be afraid. Now is the time to tell them hey doro vote, bhago vote. Rahul Gandhi was MP from Amethi for 15 years. In 2019 he lost to Smriti Irani by 55000 votes. This time Gandhi family loyalist Kishori Lal Sharma has been fielded from Amethi seat. Meanwhile, in Rae Bareli, Rahul Gandhi is contesting against BJP's Dinesh Pratap Singh.
