Flood wreaks havoc in Brazil, 37 people lost their lives, more than 23000 people rendered homeless


Rain has wreaked havoc in Brazil. Flood like situation has arisen there. 37 people have lost their lives and many are missing in Rio Grande do Sul due to the floods.

About 150 municipalities have been damaged by the storm and floods. More than 23,000 people have been forced to leave their homes in Rio Grande do Sul. Due to failure of hydro electric plant, more than 3 lakh people are forced to live without electricity. A state of emergency has been declared by the government in Rio Grande do Sul.
