Palwal, 3 May (Hindustan Reporter). A car going to Faridabad for a wedding reception near Baghaula village on National Highway-19 was hit by a vehicle. In this accident, the uncle of the groom who was traveling in the car died, while seven people including the bride and groom were injured. The injured have been referred to the higher centre.
Ankit Yadav, resident of village Mandar in district Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) told the police that he lives in Rajiv Colony of Faridabad along with his family. Her uncle's son Vijay's wedding was on 26th April. Vijay also lives with her in Rajiv Colony, but the marriage was solemnized in his native village Mandar. After the marriage, a reception party was to be held in Faridabad on 7th May. For this ceremony, his entire family was coming to Faridabad from Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) in a Brezza car. His uncle Devi Shankar was driving the car. He told that Vijay, newly married Poonam, sister Nisha, cousin Shivansh, Vijay's friend Vishal and his sister Nisha's two children Saloni and Shreya were traveling in the car. An unknown vehicle hit his car near Baghaula village on National Highway-19.
He said that all the people in the car were seriously injured in the accident. The injured were brought to the civil hospital, but the doctor declared his uncle Devi Shankar dead. Seeing the critical condition of Vijay, Poonam, Nisha, Vishal, Saloni and Shivansh, they were referred to a higher centre.
Gadpuri police station in-charge Rajbir Singh said on Friday that on the complaint of the nephew of the deceased, a case has been registered against the driver of the unknown vehicle in Gadpuri police station. Police is searching for the driver.
