3 crops on one tree
The Noorjahan mango variety is originally from Afghanistan. But years ago (circa 15th century) it was brought to the Katthiwada region of Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Where Noorjahan mangoes grow on only 3 trees. About 250 mangoes grow on these three trees. In which the weight of each mango is more than 4 kg. Last year the average weight of this mango was 3.8 kg.
Last year Rs. 1500 price
Last year the price of Noorjahan mango was Rs 20 per piece. Viewed from 500 to 1500. It takes one and a half months for these mangoes to be ready for sale. Due to unseasonal rains and storms this year the production was not as much as it should have been.
Horticulture experts said, Noorjahan mango tree flowers from January to February. Which is ready for sale in the first fortnight of June. This mango is about one foot long. Also the weight of its bowl is 150-200 grams.
