Space: Mysterious laser transmission signal detected from 14 million miles away on Earth

American space agency NASA has clarified that the Earth has received mysterious signals from remote areas of space. The signal originated at a distance of approximately 14 million miles. NASA says the laser signal came from NASA's new spacecraft Psyche. NASA launches a space mission in October 2023. Under that mission, a spacecraft named Psych-16 was sent to a very small planet (Shudragraha). It is estimated that Shudragriha is mainly made of metal. It is also believed that such an asteroid is rare in our solar system. This Shudragraha is located between Mars and Jupiter in the Shudragraha belt.

Robots are studying it. The American spacecraft Psyche is equipped with Deep Optical Communication (DSOC) system. The objective of this mission is to make laser communication possible over very long distances in space.

use of radio frequency transmitters

The Psyche spacecraft has used radio frequency transmitters and has also proven its capabilities with optical communication technology. The laser communications demo has now transmitted engineered data over a distance of 14 million miles. This distance is five times the distance between the Earth and the Sun. The DSOC system has also successfully interfaced with SICA's radio transmitter. This makes it possible to transmit engineering data from spacecraft directly to Earth.
