Huge devastation in Kazakhstan: Waterbombing in half the country: International help sought

Asthana: It has wreaked havoc in Kazakhstan, the largest state of Central Asia and a key member of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) established by Russia.

The rivers of this Central Asian country meet the Arctic Ocean at the North Pole. Its estuaries and northern rivers are still ice-covered. Whereas raw water flows in the southern parts of those rivers. When it rains, those rivers flow on both banks. But the water that cannot flow forward due to snow returns back, especially in the northern parts of the country. This year due to heavy rains there are floods in the northern part of the country. A state of disaster has been declared in the country.

President Kassym Jo Mart Tokayev said that the people of our country are going through an unprecedentedly harsh test. This is the devastation of alapat-taskin (terrible finale). Along with this, Kazakh leaders have also asked for international assistance. In the upper part, his standing crops of wheat, gram, cotton and barley have been destroyed.

Tokayev also briefed lawmakers in the national parliament on the flood situation. He also warned against the false propaganda being carried out by foreign western powers regarding Kazakhstan.

It is noteworthy that India has had good relations with Kazakhstan since the time of the Soviet Union and it is a member of the Commonwealth of Independent States established by Russia after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. He is a staunch opponent of the West. After briefing the national parliament about the floods, Tokayev said that some countries are carrying out serious and false propaganda against us. Stay away from it as it is a threat to the peace and stability of our country.
