Ranchi, 30 April (HS). Former Chief Minister of the state Hemant Soren has sought one day provisional bail from the High Court. He has told the court that he has to attend the Shraddha rites of his uncle. Soren is currently lodged in Birsa Munda Central Jail on land scam charges.
In the petition filed by Hemant Soren, a request has been made for early hearing. The High Court will hear this case on May 3. Hemant Soren has sought provisional bail for May 6.
