Robbery of Rs 5 lakh at Fatehgarh bangle trader's house, thieves absconded with gold in Rs 100-100 notes.

Fatehgarh Bangles: It is reported that a thief has stolen Rs 5 lakh from the house of a cloth merchant in Ward No. 7 of Fatehgarh Churian. Giving information, Sukhwant Singh Sukha Bhatia said that he and his uncle's entire family had locked their house on Saturday, April 27 and had gone to Sri Anandpur Sahib to pay obeisance and then thieves entered their house through the basement and broke the door frame. They stole Rs 5 lakh by placing fake keys in the room and cupboard, while the thieves left behind around Rs 50,000 in Rs 100-100 notes and gold lying in the cupboard.

Gurpreet Singh, cousin of the victim Sukhwant Singh, said that the thieves went to the second floor of their house, where they searched the shelves, but due to lack of cash, the thieves returned empty handed. He told that his house has been stolen for the second time and even before this thieves had stolen gold from his house. The victim's family has demanded the police administration to immediately arrest the thieves and get their money back. On the other hand, Fatehgarh Churi police station has registered a complaint and started investigation.
