Prime Minister Modi gifts Rs 400 crore from Jammu to the universities of Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, 20 February (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday gifted Rs 400 crore to the universities of Madhya Pradesh in the digital launch program of projects from Jammu under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan. State Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the program from Gyan Vigyan Bhawan located at Barkatullah University, Bhopal. Governor Dr. Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for sanctioning an amount of Rs 400 crore to the universities of Madhya Pradesh.

Important works of innovation, research and infrastructure development will be done in the university.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that with this amount, important works of innovation, research and infrastructure development can be completed in universities. Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for the support given by them for better higher education system, he said that Madhya Pradesh will live up to their hopes and expectations and we will make the state among the top states of the country in the field of higher education. Assistance of Rs 20 crore each to Devi Ahilya, Rani Durgavati, Awadhesh Pratap Singh, Pandit SN Shukla and Maharaja Chhatrasal Bundelkhand University.

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 220 development projects worth Rs 32 thousand crores, including Jammu AIIMS, in a program organized in Jammu under the Prime Minister Higher Education Campaign (PM-USHA). This campaign will not only provide industrial training to the youth but will also fulfill the objective of the New Education Policy 2020. Under the Multi Disciplinary Education and Research Universities (MERU) component of the programme, assistance of Rs 100 crore each has been sanctioned to Barkatullah, Vikram and Jiwaji Universities. Similarly, under the Grant to Strengthen Universities (GSU) component, assistance of Rs 20 crore each has been approved to Devi Ahilya, Rani Durgavati, Awadhesh Pratap Singh, Pandit SN Shukla and Maharaj Chhatrasal Bundelkhand Universities. With this, administrative buildings, academic buildings, research labs, library buildings, computer labs, hostels and classrooms will be constructed for infrastructure development in universities. Besides, facilities for national and international conferences, seminars, webinars, educational tours, faculty enrichment and professional training will be available.

Minister of State for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare (Independent Charge) Krishna Gaur, Additional Chief Secretary KC Gupta, Chairman of Private University Regulatory Commission Dr. Bharat Sharan Singh, Vice Chancellor KK Jain were specially present in the program.
