Republican Party of India (Athawale) Uttar Pradesh President Pawan Bhai Gupta said this.
Pawan Bhai Gupta said that Congress has been giving first rights to people of a particular religion since the beginning. The statement of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the statement of Congress leader Rashid Alvi are not just statements, Congress has always implemented them in its vision. He said that in 2011, SC/ST reservation in Jamia Millia Islamia was ended by the Manmohan Singh government. Congress had given minority status to the government Aligarh Muslim University by making a law in 1981. In Karnataka, Muslims were included in OBC. Which is a pot on the soul of the Constitution. Therefore, the biggest opponent of reservation is Congress.
State President Shri Gupta said that Muslims have their own civil law. There are minority educational institutions which run at government expense. There is a law of Waqf. There is scholarship. There is a Ministry of Minority, there is a Minority Commission, still why are they backward? There is a need to think about this. Hasn't Congress been exploiting Muslims for 70 years by considering them as mere vote banks?
