Korba/Janjgir-Champa, 29 April (Hindus). To extend the period of water in Mudpar branch canal for Rabi crop, BJP leader Eng. Ravi Pandey has applied to the Collector.
It may be noted that the farmers taking advantage of irrigation from Mudpar branch canal met Engineer Pandey and requested that this time the water for Rabi crop was released late.
Due to which it will take time to prepare the crop and an announcement has been made by Kotwar in the villages to provide water till 30th April. On the demand of the farmers, Engineer Pandey requested the Collector to increase the water in the Mudpar branch canal for at least a week till 7th May, till the crop is ready.
